Breakaway Products began in 2005 with the introduction of SkateMate, the hand-held skate sharpener.

Satisfied SkateMate customers and sports stores across North America began asking us for other unique, quality accessories.
In response, we have developed the SportMate line of products. These new products are intended to enhance your sports experience and help you achieve your own personal athletic goals.
